Who is Mistress Ginger? That’s a question for the ages. I mean, how does a Juilliard-trained dancer become a raging cabaret queen? I’m working on the tell-all memoir, but in the meantime I’ll sum it up thus:

Cabaret magic is at the heart.

Inspired by old Hollywood, great divas, and classic showbiz sparkle, I blend vintage glamour with modern mischief to create cabaret experiences that are equal parts song, dance, and sequins. (And yes, sequins are a lifestyle choice.)

I’m a singer, dancer, and storyteller who loves taking audiences on whimsical journeys full of heart and imagination. Since 2009, I’ve shared my original cabaret creations through Junkyard Cabaret, my glamtastic performance company.

Based in the Twin Cities, I’ve brought the magic to various venues including the Bryant-Lake Bowl, Crooners Supper Club, and the Woman’s Club, collaborating with musical dynamos such as Rick Carlson, Lori Dokken, Franco Holder, George Maurer, and more.

And I can cook, too!

My vegan cookbook Mistress Ginger Cooks! was published in 2014. The Star Tribune proclaimed, “We've never thought it possible to use the words 'vegan' and 'glamour' in the same sentence, until now…” I call it showgirl fuel: the compassionate cuisine that powers my performance, keeps me feeling fabulous, and adds a little sparkle to life.

Ultimately, I’m all about the dream. Living that dream and inspiring you to do the same, whatever that dream is for you.

Give it and live it. Your Mistress has spoken.
