Bewitched by Weill

  • Bryant-Lake Bowl Theater 810 West Lake Street Minneapolis, Minnesota, 55408 United States (map)

Cabaret queen Mistress Ginger dives into the seductive, subversive world of Kurt Weill, conjuring a musical journey from the seedy beer halls of Weimar Berlin to the bright lights of the American theater — and back again. With Casey Rafn at the piano, Ginger spins a fantastical tale of desire, exile, reinvention, and the search for love and belonging, all through the irresistible songs of one of the 20th century’s great theatrical composers.

Featuring “Mack the Knife,” “Surabaya Johnny,” “September Song,” “My Ship,” and more, Bewitched by Weill is an evening of dark humor, theatrical enchantment, and music that still casts a potent spell.
